References

I like to make references to fandom & other things I love in my games and I try not to be too obvious about it(but sometimes  it can’t be helped!) Here’s a list of them sorted alphabetically by story/challenge name.

A Clockwork Affair:

Hyde Hannibal: Well, this is obvious. The sim is based on Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Hannibal Lecter on the tv show “Hannibal.” Hyde comes from the classic “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.”
Ashelia (Hannibal): One of my favourite names of all time; from Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca, one of the main characters in the video game Final Fantasy XII.
Alana De Maurier: Another reference to NBC’s Hannibal; combination of Alana Bloom and Bedelia De Maurier.
Alessa Valentine Hannibal: Alessa Gillespie from the Silent Hill video game; Valentine from Parade’s End, played by Adelaide Clemens, who portrayed Alessa/Heather in the second Silent Hill movie.
Lounds Hollister: Another reference to Hannibal; the reported Freddy Lounds.
Magnus / The Coffee Bane: A reference to the High Warlock of Brooklyn, Magnus Bane, from The Mortal Instruments & The Infernal Devices series.

Leap of Faith:

Arya Kennex : A combination of Arya Stark from Game of Thrones and John Kennex from Almost Human.
Catelyn and Ned Kennex: Arya’s parents; named after Catelyn and Eddard “Ned” Stark, Arya Stark’s parents on Game of Thrones.
Instructor Fromage Lecter: This one is pretty obvious; Hannibal Lecter (and, well … cheese, xD)

Le Chiffre Bistro: Le Chiffre is the French villain from 007: Casino Royale, played by Mads Mikkelsen.

– The majestic blue bird that Arya sees from the hot air balloon in Chapter Two is meant to be the legendary Pokemon, Articuno.

Swept Away: 

Willem Alestair: Willem is one letter away from “Willem”(as in Dafoe, an amazing actor and wonderful Green Goblin); “Alestair” is in reference to the wonderfully dark and macabre Alestair Crowley.
